AKQA + NIKE: N7 2021 SUMMER COLLECTION
Partnered with AKQA on content for the Nike N7 2021 Summer Collection featuring:
Lyle Thompson - Onondaga Nation, Lacrosse
Madison Hammond - Navajo and Pueblo, Soccer
Lauren Schad - Cheyenne River Lakota Nation, Volleyball
Kyrie Irving - Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Basketball
The Nike N7 Collection is rooted in the artistic traditions that come from the lands of Lyle Thompson, Lauren Schad, and Kyrie Irving, who hail from the Onondaga Nation to Cheyenne River Lakota Nation and Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The natural beauty of the earth served as the original inspiration for the ancestral artwork and regalia significant to each athlete’s Tribal Nation.
Inspired by the colors and materials of these elemental forces, from purple wampum shells to colorful porcupine quills, the Summer 2021 Nike N7 Collection honors and embodies the values, stories, and diversity of Indigenous traditions and craft. As we invite you to make it your own, we show that there is no single way to rep Indigenous.
Nike is focused on getting youth in Native American and Indigenous communities in North America moving through the N7 Fund — so they can lead healthier, happier and more successful lives. Since its creation in 2009, the Nike N7 Fund has awarded more than $8 million in grants, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America, to more than 270 communities and organizations.
